Celebrating Kindness, Community & Ambition
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we move into another busy and exciting week at Wollaston School, I wanted to share some updates that reflect the brilliant things happening across our community and the strong values that continue to guide us.
Year 11 & 13 Mock Exams – Ambition in Action
Our Year 11 and 13 students began their mock examinations this week, and we have been thoroughly impressed with the maturity, determination and quiet focus they have shown. This is a powerful reminder of what ambition looks like in practice: students taking ownership of their learning, supporting one another, and striving to be the best version of themselves. Thank you for the encouragement you give at home—it genuinely makes a difference.
Getting the Basics Right – Pride in Presentation
This week as a staff we have also placed a renewed emphasis on uniform and presentation. This will be a clear focus as we move into December. Looking the part is an important expression of our values—especially community and kindness. When students wear their uniform correctly and with pride, they show respect for themselves, for each other and for our school. Thank you for your continued support in ensuring students arrive each day ready to learn, looking smart, and fully equipped.
Snozone Trips – Exciting Updates Ahead
A huge well done to all the students who attended our Snozone trips this week. These events are a fantastic opportunity for our young people to push their boundaries, experience something new and represent our school so positively. We are expecting full updates and photos to share with you next week—so please keep an eye out!
As always, thank you for your ongoing support, positivity and partnership. We are incredibly proud of the way our students continue to grow—not only academically, but also in character and confidence. Together, we are shaping a culture where every child is encouraged to work hard, be kind and add value to our community.
Best wishes for the week ahead.
Simon Anderson
