Results

The year 9 Boys football team were in action this week and played a game against Huxlow School. The match was played in a very spirited way. Wollaston ended up winning comfortably in the end and certainly dominated the match during large parts of the game. The Wollaston team in the second half really developed and improved their game. Winning possession and then moving and passing the ball swiftly and accurately. Brennan in particular had a very positive performance and was solid in defence throughout the game. Some lovely passing led to several breakaways and positive play. Wollaston ended up winning 6-1. Thank you to the year 9 players for a great game and we look forward to the district cup matches that will be arranged soon.

The U13 girls’ football team continued their sensational district league run in week three with two more victories, first overcoming Rushden 5–0 in a match where their sharp passing, pressure, and solid defending ensured another clean sheet, then delivering a dominant performance against Wrenn, controlling the game from start to finish with confident, well-organized play and finishing to secure a  7–0 win; once again the girls showed outstanding teamwork, determination, and skill, demonstrating their growing confidence as they extend their unbeaten run with another fantastic week of football.

NTFC Utilita Tournament – U13’s Girls EFL Cup

The Wollaston School U13 Girls delivered an impressive display at the Utilita Tournament, hosted by Northampton Town Football Club. Across every match, the team showed a strong blend of skill, determination, and teamwork.

From the very start, the girls set the pace with high energy and consistent pressure, pushing their opponents back and dictating the flow of play. Their quick transitions and sharp passing opened up multiple scoring opportunities, while their resilience ensured they stayed in control throughout the competition.

Every player played their part, contributing both in attack and defence. The squad demonstrated confidence, tactical awareness, and a fearless approach that unsettled their opponents and underlined the unity of the team.

They went all the way and won the tournament, progressing to the next round which possibly means the girls will play at Wembley!!

A huge well done to every single player for your hard work, spirit, and teamwork.
