Dear Parent/Carer,

Christmas Concert – Monday 9th December 2024 at 6.00pm

The Wollaston School Music Department are delighted to invite you to the Christmas Concert, which will be held on Monday 9th December 2024 at 6.00pm in the Main Hall.  There will be a wide variety of acts and this concert will certainly get you into the Christmas spirit! I am thrilled to inform you that Irchester Primary School (part of the NVP) will be joining us for one of the acts too!

Tickets:

We would really appreciate your support at this concert.  Students have worked very hard to prepare items and the evening promises to be full of talent and variety. A large audience would really help to make them feel the effort is worth it.  Tickets for the night are available from 25th November and you can purchase them through the parent pay system until 4th December 2024.  The tickets are priced £5 (£4 concessions). There will be some information to fill in when purchasing the tickets, such as name of child, permission to perform in the concert and any disabled access for tickets.

The tickets for this event have always been a sell-out so please make sure you buy your tickets asap to avoid disappointment.

Rehearsals:

All students will be rehearsing over the next few weeks during school times. We will be running the show through at Wollaston School Main Hall during the day. All the Wollaston School students will receive a rehearsal schedule next week with the running order. Irchester Primary School students will join us in the afternoon for the rehearsal and will be transported over to Wollaston School and returned back to Irchester for 3.15pm.

Year 6 and 7 students only:

All Year 6 and 7 students are invited to perform what they have been rehearsing in class. For the show, students need to wear their school uniform with some Christmas additions e.g. Santa hat, tinsel, reindeer head band, etc. Please ensure black shoes are clean for the show. All students will be provided with lyrics to rehearse and learn at home (this will be sent through Arbour).

Year 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 students:

For the show, students need to wear all black. This should include a black shirt and black trousers or skirt. Please also have some Christmas additions e.g. Santa hat, tinsel, reindeer head band, etc. Please ensure black shoes are clean for the show.

We hope you will be able to support the students in what will be a great Christmas Concert and I look forward to seeing you there. There will be refreshments to help raise money for the department to buy new musical equipment so please bring some cash along with you!

Yours faithfully

E Hollis-Brown
