Letters from the Headteacher

Dear parents and carers

Thank you to all parents who attended the Year 10 Success at GCSE event last night I am sure you found it a very informative evening. We are excited for the next Friday when our newly renovated performing arts block is signed off and handed over to the school for use from the following Monday! We will update students and of course parents with how this area will operate, particularly around the new eatery that is in that block and how students can access it for break and lunchtime. It will be a slow opening of that outlet to ensure that when fully opened there are no operational hiccups. I will provide you with more information in next week’s newsletter.

Assessment and Reporting 2024-25

We are committed to keeping parents and carers informed about student progress through our assessment and reporting process. This year, all year groups will receive two reports.

This week, Year 11 and Year 13 students received their first reports. Students in Years 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 will receive theirs in the last week of Term 3, on Friday 14 February.

For full details about our approach to assessment and reporting for 2024-25, please refer to our guide, available on the school website here. This includes the schedule for all remaining reports this academic year.

We apologise for the delay in communicating this information. We know how important it is for you to understand your child’s progress, including areas of strength and those for improvement. By sharing this information, we aim to support a strong partnership between home and school to help every student achieve success.

Thank you for your continued support.

Arbor log ins

If any students are unable to log in to Arbor, please do let form tutors and Heads of Year know so we can resolve this ASAP.  Where possible, do also download the respective Parent and Student Arbor apps.

Best wishes for the week ahead.
