The Year 8 football team played Rushden & Wrenn in a triangular tournament away at Rushden Academy.
The boys won the first game against Rushden Academy school 3-0, thanks to two goals from Hector M and one from Charlie H. The second game was a harder fought affair against Wrenn school. The stalemate was broken with a brilliant long-range effort from Jacob J, with a further late goal from Charlie H to make it 2-0 to Wollaston. A big thank you to Mr Meagan for managing and coaching the year 8 team this year.
Year 11 GCSE PE Students Excel in Moderation Week
This week, our Year 11 GCSE PE students have demonstrated outstanding effort and dedication as they underwent their practical moderation. Across a range of sports, they showcased their skills, teamwork, and determination, reflecting the hard work they have put in throughout the course.
The moderation process is a crucial part of their assessment, and students rose to the occasion with confidence and enthusiasm. Whether on the football pitch, netball court, or in individual sports such as badminton and athletics, they displayed both technical ability and a deep understanding of their respective sports. Their commitment to refining their performance and meeting assessment criteria was evident in every session.
The PE team are incredibly proud of the students’ approach and attitude throughout the moderation process. They prepared thoroughly, supported one another, and showed resilience under pressure. Their hard work and perseverance are a credit to them, and we are confident that their efforts will be reflected in their final grades.
Well done to all our Year 11 GCSE PE students for their dedication and professionalism this week. Your determination and passion for sport have truly shone through!
