Catering
Wollaston delivers fresh food every day using local suppliers. Our vision is for every student to have a healthy and enriching dining experience. School staff work in partnership with students to create a relaxed and welcoming environment.
What our Café Offers:
A bright, clean, vivacious environment, encompassing local produce suppliers, to deliver a comprehensive menu during the day! Our quick-lunch counter offers a diverse menu that entices students to taste and try something different.
- The use of fresh locally sourced ingredients.
- Growing herbs and selected vegetables in our school allotment.
- Fresh food prepared in our kitchens every single day.
- Student food group are actively involved in future developments.
Beverages:
We have a quality-blended offer of coffee, teas and hot chocolate. A mixture of cold drinks are available throughout the day and after school, which includes a specific offer for sixth form students only.
Breakfast:
A selection of pastries, cereals, bacon rolls and freshly made pancakes are available daily.
Break time:
A selection of sandwiches, snacks and a quick-lunch counter is available daily.
Lunchtime:
A generous selection of hot food and desserts are readily available during the lunchtime service.
After school:
Service continues after school for half an hour, offering take home snacks which can include a pre ordered whole freshly prepared stone baked pizza!

Café Opening Times
The school café is open from Monday to Friday at:
Breakfast time: 08:00 to 08:20
Break time: 10:40 to 11:00 (or 11.00 to 11.20 on a PSHE day)
Lunchtime: 12:40 to 13:20 (or 12.50 to 13.30 on a PSHE day)
Sixth Form students can access the café and purchase food and hot/cold beverages throughout the day. It is a great opportunity to relax and dine with fellow students between their studies without disturbing their peers in the Sixth Form Centre.
Payment:
There are a variety of ways that students can pay for items in the café, these include:
Cashless system – we use a system called parent pay that enables families to add credit to student payment accounts. Students can then use their identity cards to purchase items from the café.
Cash – sixth form students can pay with cash at any time during the day. Additionally, students in other year groups can also use cash, but it must be deposited in the revalue machine, which is located outside the main hall.
Visitors are more than welcome to use the café and cash will be accepted.
Parent Information – Free School Meals
A good balanced hot meal at lunchtime can help with your son/daughter’s concentration in the afternoon as well as ensure they feel full of energy ready to study and learn in their lessons. The Free School Meals programme is designed to ensure students get an opportunity to do well in school, and eating healthily really does make a difference to children’s ability to make good sustained progress in school.
You can apply for Free School Meals for your child if you receive:

- National Asylum Seekers Support
