Letters from the Headteacher

Dear parents and carers

Despite having to reschedule our Year 6 open evening, we maintained the bookings for school tours this week and these have gone exceptionally well with many positive comments on how calm and purposeful our learning environment is. I have been very proud of our community who have welcomed the Year 6s and their families into their lessons and of course I take great pride in our ambassadors’ confidence when touring families- they received many positive comments, and I thank them for their time.

We also had our first Year 11 Path to Glory trip with a PE focused trip to the Cobblers to watch their game against Bolton Wanderers – despite the weather and a poor overall result – it was an exciting game!

We seemed to have missed our usual fair September weather and have plunged straight into autumnal temperatures. Therefore, it’s probably a decent time to issue a reminder about coats and additional layers when the temperature drop and that we do not accept non Wollaston hoodies or sports tops to be worn around school and if students wish to wear additional layers that are not coats or jackets then these should be plain in nature and not branded sportswear.
