Reading Book Access

All staff and students are encouraged to come and explore the Library during the opening hours. We currently have library lessons in place for Year 7 and Year 8 students once a week where they can come to explore our titles. The wide variety of fiction, non-fiction, and magazine titles that Wollaston School offers are always available to all year groups.

Students also have access to Reading Cloud, where they can check information such as which books are available in the Library, book of the week, and author of the week. They are also invited to reserve books or submit book reviews on this website.

We have a growing range of large print books that are available to our Visually Impaired students, as well as access to Kindle online through their school issued laptops and iPads.

We conduct many Reading Interventions to support learning and development at Wollaston, including Buddy Reading with our sixth form students, as well as Accelerated Reader.

Diversity and Inclusivity are vital at Wollaston; the Library works closely with the student Diversity Ambassadors to showcase books featuring or written by a people from all backgrounds.

Reading Recommendations

If there is a book that you would recommend to a friend and we don’t stock it, come and speak to the librarian and we’ll see if we can stock it.
